  1. Hi Dave, I run a busy guest house in Betws-y-Coed (Aberconwy House http://www.aberconwy-house.co.uk) and I have just come across your site. It is brilliant! Beautiful and informative and I have already put a link to it in next week’s blog all about adventures in Snowdonia.
We get a lot of people coming to stay to walk the area and in particular the mountain, many are totally unaware of what it will mean to walk Snowdon and while you can do it totally without a guide I’m sure there are many that would love to have a guided walk on some of the less trodden paths. Do you offer any such mountain guiding or is there anyone that you would personally recommend.
I plan to do a blog on Snowdon and I will definitely make a link to your site a priority. Yes, I’m impressed.
    Thanks,

    Emma Charlton.

  3. Hi there

Myself and friend are planning on walking up Snowden in 12 June 2016. We are novice mountain walkers and this is our first walk. I’m confused by which walk to do so wondered if you could advise

I’m carrying a bit of weight but have no problem walking long distances (although my knees don’t always thank me) …. We dont want anything that requires ropes or ice picks … We both have good walking boots and clothing so hooping we will be ok with that and plenty of supplies

Any help you can give us would be great thanks

I am planning to walk up Snowdon soon with my daughter and found your site which looks very informative. On each walk page you have a link

    “Download GPX File for GPS”.

A GPX file would be very useful, unfortunately your link brings up a page of XML code and does not download a file. Could you rectify this problem please? I am using an Android phone, I also tried the same thing on an Android tablet and a Mac.

Well done for an excellent site

    Regards Paul

    1. Hi Paul,

This is an issue with the server – you’ll need to right click in order to download. Not ideal i’m afraid, but we’re working on it! Something to do with mime types, apparently..
