Parking for Yr Wyddfa Snowdon in 2023 – Pen-y-pass and other car parks
Parking for Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) can be problematic, especially at the Pen-y-pass car park that’s both small and very popular. All our walking routes up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) contain the vital “Route Information” on the sidebar, which includes Public Transport and Parking info. But for your convenience, here’s a rundown of the Snowdon parking, their post codes and charges for the big 6 main routes up Snowdon.
Pen-y-pass Parking for Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon
Current Snowdonia National Park info indicates you must pre-book your parking for the Pen y Pass Car Park in Season, but operates on a first come first served basis over winter.
Winter 2022/23 costs £10 for the daily ticket and does not need to be pre-booked but spaces ar limited and you will need to get there very early or strike it lucky as someone is leaving.
Summer parking needs to be booked and costs 8 hrs – £18 / 8-12hrs – £25 / 12-24hrs – £40. For a more affordable, and sustainable option we suggest you park in Nant Peris and use the Park and Ride.
Bookings are only available to be made at least 24 hour in advance. Minimum price is £18 for a 8 hour parking session.
Please remember that space are limited and therefore tickets are likely to sell out very quickly!
Parking for Watkin, Rhyd Ddu and Snowdon Ranger Paths
These care parks are much quieter than Pen-y-pass and other than peak times you should find a space, but always plan to arrive early to avoid disappointment! They charge £6 a day and you do not need to book and need to pay by card. The Sherpa’r Wyddfa bus service joins up all the car parks so you can easily plan a linear walk between them.
